Public Health Ethics

Section information text: This course will introduce students to the main values and principles that drive ethical decision-making in public health research and practice. Students will be exposed to examples of ethical challenges in resource allocation, balancing individual autonomy with the needs of the community, and protecting vulnerable populations. In addition, students will review the principles of research ethics as applied in the Institutional Review Board (IRB) application process.
