Section information text: Philosophy is a way to explore and process complex issues in life through different perspectives. This course provides students the opportunity to think about their values, their knowledge and belief systems, meaning of their lives, and their place in the world. Students learn about concepts of logic, ethics, metaphysics, reality and truth, and political philosophy. They explore philosophy in the context of important contemporary issues and positions. Through this exploration, combined with self-reflection, students learn to ground their personal philosophies in traditions of philosophical reasoning.
