Intro to Health Care Policy

Section information text: This course will consider the evolution of the U.S. health care system and of health policy. Topics will current challenges in the delivery of health care and the future of the health care system. Perspectives for analyzing health and health care will be introduced with a focus on vulnerable populations, mental health issues, variations in medical practice and the quality of care, and health care rationing and access to care. (Pre-requisite: NURS 6050)
