Section information text: This course challenges students through self-awareness to understand the effects of bias, systemic racism, and microaggressions related to gender, race, intersectionality, and privilege. An understanding of how social injustice affects the healthcare ecosystem assists students to drive social change for inclusive and equitable healthcare. Students will learn advocacy strategies of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) to improve healthcare outcomes in a respectful interdisciplinary environment.
