Catalog description

Section information text: In this course, students will explore the basic principles of environmental science through a closer look at four of the Earth’s physical systems (air, water, biodiversity, and waste) and the influence of human activities on them. They will investigate ecological concepts, natural resources, and current environmental problems from scientific, social, political, and economic perspectives. Students will have a chance to assess their individual ecological footprint and understand the relationships between individual and collective decisions and environmental issues.
