Catalog description

Section information text: This course provides an introduction to the principles and practices of health education and behavior, emphasizing an integrative health perspective. Students will explore the historical, philosophical, and theoretical foundations of health education, as well as contemporary issues and trends. Key topics such as health promotion, disease prevention, and health behavior change will be explored. Students will learn to design, implement, and evaluate health education programs that address diverse populations and settings. The integrative health approach will highlight the importance of considering physical, mental, emotional, and social dimensions of health. Practical skills in communication, advocacy, and community engagement will be emphasized throughout the course.
