Section information text: Social change defines the values Americans share, how society reflects those values, and, increasingly, how those values play out. This course examines the history, leadership, messaging, and outcomes of social change movements in the United States. An emphasis on the continuum of change is prevalent as students engage in assignments that require analysis of the roots and outcomes of social change efforts. In this course, students develop awareness of the power of and continuing need for social activism for a nation established as a great experiment.
