Section information text: The effective use of digital media in learning environments requires a shift in paradigms from being a consumer to being a creator. Learners become knowledgeable developers of learning media, applying design concepts based on Richard Mayer¿s triarchic model of cognitive load, and using media as an integral component of instructional design and pedagogy. Learners design and create digital and interactive media for the workplace based on sound visual and instructional design principles.
