Section information text: What are the dispositions and responsibilities needed to be an effective professional in the early childhood field? Researchers indicate that high-quality early childhood programs result in long-term positive outcomes for children. Based on this understanding, education professionals use accreditation standards and knowledge of research-based effective practices to evaluate the effectiveness of early childhood programs. Education professionals explore multiple leadership roles in the early childhood field, analyze leadership qualities and traits, and reflect on professional growth. Specific focus is placed on effective practice related to management policies and procedures, teacher qualifications, family engagement, and community involvement.
