Section information text: Research Methods in Public Administration is designed to equip students with the knowledge and applied skills necessary to design, conduct, and evaluate research in public and non-profit organizations. Learners will identify organizational problems, formulate researchable questions, and develop conceptual frameworks that address practical challenges in public administration. Emphasis is placed on both quantitative and qualitative methods, including variable identification, sampling strategies, data collection, and analysis using SPSS. Students will gain experience in interpreting statistical results, synthesizing qualitative findings, and communicating insights effectively to diverse stakeholders. The course also explores program evaluation design, ethical and cultural considerations, and organizational constraints, preparing students to apply research and evaluation skills in real-world contexts to inform decision-making and improve organizational performance.
