Section information text: Discover the range of research methodologies used to collect data and analyze trends in criminal justice. This course introduces students to the quantitative and qualitative methods used to study the root causes of crime and the impact of crime on communities. Students examine models, metrics, and tools used to evaluate criminal justice programs and policies; legal and ethical issues associated with research and evaluation methods; the strengths and limitations of research methods; and threats to the validity of data.
