Composition, Grammar, and Speaking I

Catalog description

This course introduces basic written and oral communication skills to beginning level non-native English speakers. Emphasis is placed on fundamental grammar concepts, basic sentence structure in paragraphs, and essential pronunciation and speaking skills within an academic context. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate a basic understanding of grammar, write English paragraphs using appropriate vocabulary and transitions, and produce spoken English dealing with routine topics.
