Applied Vocal Coaching

Catalog description

The course is comprised each week of a half-period vocal coaching session with a faculty coach-accompanist and a half-period of collaborative work in the students applied voice lesson. Vocal coaching will address the style, musical markings, tempo, language, phrasing, and interpretation of the applied lesson repertoire. Students registered for one credit of MUVO 171 must register concurrently for one credit of MUVO 172. Restricted to music majors. Restricted to students with freshman and sophomore standing. May be repeated for credit.
