198 The study of how financial institutions function both within a system where monetary policy is formulated and carried out by the Federal Reserve, acting on congressional initiatives to minimize unemployment and control inflation, and internally focusing on retail operations for deposit and loan accounts, as well as commercial banking operations. Prerequisites: ECON 101, 102.
