Catalog description

Sometimes we are not aware of what we are doing or how we are doing it. This course explores the work begun by F.M. Alexander called the Alexander Technique. The Alexander Technique is a powerful method for bringing about physical and psychological change by teaching how to be more conscious, and how to pause and reconsider before acting. it empowers people to change mental and physical habits and become more authentic as performers, athletes, and communicators. This course gives students the opportunity to study AT privately; it can be taken for variable credit. Restricted to students with freshman and sophomore standing. May be repeated for credit.
