Catalog description
Semester course; 6 laboratory hours. 2 credits. May be repeated for credit. Enrollment requires permission of the project faculty adviser. Undergraduate students participate in multiyear, multidisciplinary active research or discovery projects under the guidance of faculty and graduate students. As they continue to address research and development issues, students continue to gain knowledge/skills and professional training, making meaningful contributions to the project and providing mentorship to less experienced students. Students must earn a minimum of four credits on the same VIP team for these credits to be eligible to count toward an elective course. More restrictive requirements may be imposed by individual departments. Project title will vary by section. See the Schedule of Classes to register for the appropriate section.
