Catalog description
Semester course; 6 laboratory hours. 2 credits. Enrollment requires permission of the project faculty adviser. Undergraduate students participate in multiyear, multidisciplinary active research or discovery projects under the guidance of faculty and graduate students. As they address research and development issues, students will familiarize themselves with the project, gain knowledge/skills and professional training, and begin making some meaningful contributions to the team. Students must earn a minimum of four credits on the same VIP team for these credits to be eligible to count toward an elective course. More restrictive requirements may be imposed by individual departments. Project title will vary by section. See the Schedule of Classes to register for the appropriate section.
