Catalog description
Semester course; 4.5 studio hours. 3 credits. Prerequisite: THEA 105 . The course introduces basic patternmaking skills including: sloper development, pattern manipulations employing flat patterning techniques, drafting, scaling and copying of historic garments. The course introduces critical-thinking skills as related to the form, fit and composition of clothing as it relates to the body. Students will apply these skills to practical projects that can relate to a variety of historical period costumes.
