Catalog description

Semester course; 3 lecture hours (delivered online, face-to-face or hybrid). 3 credits. Prerequisites: TEDU 425 or TEDU 426 . Corequisites: TEDU 431 or TEDU 441 . Students will examine reading problems by focusing on reading diagnosis and intervention related to classroom settings. Emphasis is placed on making decisions based upon students’ individual needs and critical reflection to improve instruction. Students will apply skills acquired in this course during a supervised practicum experience in the corequisite course in which students will evaluate and tutor individual students with reading difficulties.
