Semester course; 3 lecture hours (delivered online, face-to-face or hybrid). 3 credits. Prerequisite: CMSC 302 or MATH 200 or MATH 211 . Introduction to probability concepts needed for the study of computer science. Includes such topics as sets, combinatorics, discrete sample spaces, mathematical expectation, common discrete and continuous distributions, conditional probabilities, Bernoulli trials, and Bayes' Theorem.
