Catalog description

Semester course; 3 lecture hours (delivered face-to-face or hybrid). 3 credits. Prerequisite: SETI 420 or by permission of the instructor. Conducted in Spanish and English. Exposes students to the ethics, regulations and advanced vocabulary used in legal interpreting, with a focus on the state examination for certification in the court system. Students who are bilingual, or can demonstrate requisite language proficiency through coursework in Spanish at 300-level or higher, or by earning a composite Avant STAMP Assessment test score of "advanced" are encouraged to seek permission from the instructor to register for this course.
