Semester course; 3 lecture hours. 3 credits. The course addresses the influence of social and behavioral factors impacting public health, covering both historical perspectives and current issues. Topics covered include the theoretical foundations of social and behavioral sciences; the sociocultural context of health, health promotion, and disease prevention interventions; and special populations and topics.
