Catalog description

Semester course; 1 lecture hour. 1 credit. Enrollment restricted to D.D.S. students. A preclinical didactic course in removable prosthodontics, removable partial dentures. The course presents the basic information, which is a prerequisite for understanding the clinical and laboratory procedures, and the diagnosis and treatment planning of patients requiring RPDs. The information presented in the course is necessary to complete the dental curriculum, treat patients who require RPDs and to be a knowledgeable dentist. Successful completion of both PROS 631 and PROS 632 is required before students are allowed to treat patients requiring removable prostheses.
