Catalog description

Semester course; 3 lecture hours. 3 credits. Prerequisite: PHYS 202 or PHYS 208 . The course provides a scientific foundation to help answer fundamental questions about our Solar System by studying rocky and icy bodies throughout the Solar System. The emphasis of the course is physical and quantitative reasoning, using information from astronomy, geology, physics and chemistry.
