Semester course; 2 lecture and 2 laboratory hours. 3 credits. Enrollment is restricted to students in the professional Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Explores the principles of motor control and learning in relation to the neurologic physical therapy patient population. Examines the pathophysiology of neurologic disorders in relation to functional movement. Students will apply the foundational principles of evaluation and treatment to patients with a variety of motor disorders. Critically surveys current theory and practice of neuromotor therapeutics.
