Acute Care Physical Therapy.

Catalog description

Semester course; 2 lecture and 2 laboratory hours. 3 credits. Enrollment is restricted to students in the professional Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Presents evaluation and treatment methods for the acute care patient. Focuses on the rehabilitation phase of patient care for a variety of patient diagnoses, including pathophysiology of common diagnoses encountered in the acute rehabilitation setting. Provides interprofessional educational opportunities with other health care professional students.
