Catalog description

Semester course; 1 lecture hour (delivered hybrid). 1 credit. Enrollment is restricted to students in the Doctor of Pharmacy program. The course is designed to develop the student’s clinical reasoning skills when managing patients with substance use disorders. Students will also gain experience in working in teams and communicating information through presentations. Students will dive deeper into substance use disorders, treatments, and drugs of misuse covered and not covered in the psychiatry CTM module. Students will also develop tools to reduce stigma and improve interactions with patients with SUD. Graded as pass/fail.
