Semester course; 2 clinic hours (180 clinic contact hours). 2 credits. Prerequisite: NURS 753 or by permission of the instructor. The practicum course is the culminating experience for the psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner student and focuses on skill refinement with increasing responsibility in the delivery of psychiatric care across the lifespan through precepted practicum experiences and faculty-supervised competency assessment. Graded as satisfactory/unsatisfactory.
