Catalog description

Semester course; 3 lecture hours (delivered online). 3 credits. The aim of the course is to equip healthcare professionals with advanced knowledge and skills necessary to lead change initiatives aimed at enhancing patient safety and improving healthcare quality. The course covers various topics, including safety science, improvement science, implementation/translation science and psychology of change. The focus is on the ethical integration of these sciences with evidence-based practice processes. Students will learn how to analyze metrics, implement interventions, lead team-based change, advocate for policy change and promote a culture of safety and well-being in the workplace.
