Semester course; 3 lecture hours (delivered online). 3 credits. The course emphasizes development of skills that support effective use and evaluation of information and communication technologies to gather data, create information and generate knowledge. Information technology strategies to facilitate timely identification and management of health needs, efficient and effective documentation of care, integration of health information technology systems, data privacy and security, and compliance with ethical and regulatory standards are examined.
