Catalog description

Semester course; 2 clinic hours (180 clinic contact hours). 2 credits. Prerequisite: NURS 743 or by permission of the instructor. The practicum course builds upon previous practicum experiences for the family nurse practitioner student and focuses on improving clinical skills with increasing responsibility in the delivery of primary care to families. Students work with clinical preceptors to advance in their clinical reasoning skills and knowledge of the health system. Graded as satisfactory/unsatisfactory.
