Semester course; 1-6 clinic hours (delivered online; 90-540 clinic contact hours). 3 credits. May be repeated for a maximum of six credits toward graduation. Prerequisites: NURS 686 , NURS 687 , NURS 690 , NURS 715 and NURS 739 or NURS 670 , NURS 671 , NURS 715 , NURS 729 and 746 , or by permission of the instructor. Provides a mentored advanced specialty practice clinical field experience in areas of leadership, health policy, informatics or public health administration. The purpose of the course is to provide an opportunity for students to apply knowledge and skills gained in didactic courses to address real-world problems in the practice setting under the supervision and mentorship of experienced professionals. Students will collaborate with course faculty and designated preceptors in the practice setting to develop specific learning objectives related to the standards of practice for their advanced practice specialty. Graded as satisfactory/unsatisfactory.
