Catalog description

Semester course; 2 clinic hours (180 clinic contact hours). 2 credits. Prerequisite: NURS 736 or by permission of the instructor. The course provides an opportunity to progress as a family nurse practitioner student through practicum experiences. Builds on prior course and clinical knowledge to improve critical thinking and diagnostic reasoning in the clinical setting. Students work with clinical preceptors to progress in their clinical reasoning skills and knowledge of the health system. Graded as satisfactory/unsatisfactory.
