Catalog description

Semester course; 3 lecture hours (delivered hybrid). 3 credits. Prerequisite: NURS 672 or by permission of the instructor. The course deepens the student's ability to apply diagnostic reasoning and treatment planning to complex psychiatric problems across the lifespan. The course will explore pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of psychotropic medications and the application to complex patient situations. The course will prepare students to apply a wide range of individualized treatment strategies based on population needs.
