Catalog description
Semester course; 1 lecture hour (delivered online). 1 credit. Prerequisites: NURS 744 , 745 , 749 , 757 , 758 , 762 , and 764, or by permission of the instructor. The course requires students to synthesize knowledge from nursing and other disciplines across multiple domains and to apply skills introduced in multiple courses to address selected healthcare needs. Students are presented with data related to selected outcomes of care and asked to complete an analysis to identify associated healthcare problems. Following problem identification, students are asked to propose solutions based on sound theoretical and empirical evidence, systems thinking and consideration for the cost-effectiveness and socioeconomic impact of the proposed solution. Graded as satisfactory/unsatisfactory.
