Semester course; 3 lecture hours (delivered online). 3 credits. Enrollment is restricted to students admitted to the graduate program or by permission of the instructor. Thes course presents advanced concepts and emerging trends in areas such as physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology and physical assessment, all within the context of Major Diagnostic Categories and Diagnostic Related Groups. The emphasis is on how these sciences can be integrated into the design, management and evaluation of health care delivery systems, ultimately contributing to better population health outcomes. Moreover, students will assess the implications of scientific advancements for administrative decision-making.
