Semester course; 3 lecture hours (delivered hybrid). 3 credits. Prerequisite: NURS 726 or by permission of the instructor. The course provides an introduction to adult-gerontology acute care considerations through systematic exploration of common chief complaints. The course focuses on building a foundation of knowledge and clinical decision-making skills related to thorough assessment, development of differential diagnoses, diagnostic reasoning and management of common health conditions from adolescence through geriatrics.
