Semester course; 3 lecture hours. 3 credits. Concurrent prerequisites: NURS 501 , NURS 504 , NURS 507 , NURS 511 . Provides content on the management of adult and geriatric patients and populations who are physiologically unstable, technologically dependent and/or highly vulnerable to complications. The focus of this course is on increasing students' acute care knowledge and decision-making skills in order to accurately assess, diagnose and manage complex acute, critical, and chronically ill or injured adult and geriatric patients.
