Mathematical Sciences Preceptorship.

Catalog description

Semester course; 1 lecture hour. 1 credit. Prerequisite: MATH 200 with a minimum grade of B or by permission of the instructor. Introduces students to the principles of guided inquiry, active learning and collaborative learning in mathematical sciences through practical, hands-on class work, discussions, readings and reflections. Students practice techniques in 100 level mathematics courses. Responsibilities vary and may include, but are not limited to, attending all classes, holding weekly review sessions or office hours.
