Semester course; 3 lecture hours. 3 credits. Prerequisite: MATH 201 with a minimum grade of C. A core course for mathematics/applied mathematics majors. An introduction to mathematical computing environments and their use in mathematical, scientific and engineering investigations/computations. Introductory mathematical computer programming, including implementation of problem-specific algorithms.
