Semester course; 3 lecture hours (delivered online, face-to-face or hybrid). 3 credits. Prerequisite: UNIV 200 . Explores gender and sexuality in diverse religious and spiritual traditions. Study focuses on how these religions’ practices, teachings, and aesthetic traditions bear upon people’s experiences and understandings of gender, sexuality and reproduction. Specific attention is given to the experience and portrayal of women and queer people. Crosslisted as: ANTH 459 / GSWS 459 / RELS 459 .
