Catalog description

Semester course; 3 lecture hours (delivered online, face-to-face or hybrid). The course explores the transformative impact of artificial intelligence in health promotion and disease prevention, highlighting its applications in diagnostics, predictive analytics and personalized interventions. Students will explore how AI enhances clinical decision-making, optimizes healthcare operations and advances public health initiatives through data-driven interventions. Key topics include AI-driven personalized medicine, digital health technologies for behavior change, machine learning for early disease detection and predictive modeling for population health management. The course also critically examines ethical considerations such as algorithmic bias, data privacy and health equity, equipping students to assess and apply AI responsibly in health-related contexts.
