Semester course; 3 lecture hours. 3 credits. Data analysis in health services research requires data management, organization and manipulation. The course introduces principles of programming for health services researchers with applications in Stata. A significant focus will be placed on ensuring reproducibility in data analysis, which is essential for validating research findings and maintaining transparency. Additionally, the course will cover best practices for documentation and reporting to ensure that analysis processes are clear, understandable and easily shared with others. Upon completion, students should be familiar with techniques to load, manage, clean and manipulate data in preparation for data analysis, as well as best practices for creating reproducible workflows.
