Catalog description

Semester course; 3 lecture hours (delivered face-to-face or hybrid). 3 credits. The course will introduce students to the field of global health and instruct students how to develop regional health profiles and propose actionable interventions/strategies with global health implications, especially in the fields of health policy and health services research. A major focus of the course is demonstrating proficiency in analyzing regional health situation, developing profiles and developing strategies/interventions for mitigating the global implications of the regional situation. Throughout the course, the major deliverables will relate to drafting and presenting a regional health profile, integrating feedback from the instructor and other students, and providing feedback on other students’ presentations.
