Catalog description

Semester course; 2 lecture and 2 laboratory hours. 3 credits. Provides an in-depth survey of the foundational concepts and methods in forensic anthropology, allowing students to critically evaluate methods for estimating the biological profile (e.g., sex, age, population affinity and stature), trauma analysis, pathological conditions and taphonomy. The laboratory component of the course will reinforce these foundational concepts, as well as emphasize statistical literacy and professional reporting standards in forensic anthropology.
