Semester course; 3 lecture or field experience hours (delivered online or face-to-face). 3 credits. Prerequisite: FIRE 201 with a minimum grade of C. Enrollment is restricted to students who have completed at least 54 credit hours (junior standing). The course serves as the advanced topics course in personal finance. It is an application based course that requires students to synthesize material learned in previous financial planning courses. Client situations will be evaluated which will allow the student to garner hands-on experience assessing the needs of clients from a wide variety of backgrounds and personal situations. A comprehensive case study will be completed.
