Semester course; 3 lecture hours (delivered online, face-to-face or hybrid). 3 credits. Prerequisites: MATH 200 or BUSN 212 ; ACCT 203 or ACCT 202 (for non-business majors); and ECON 210 , or ECON 203 or ECON 205 with a minimum grade of B. The course provides an introduction to the core principles and tools of financial management. Students learn how to value financial assets, evaluate investment opportunities, understand the trade-off between risk and return, and determine a firm’s cost of capital.
