Introduction to Feedback Control Systems.

Catalog description

Semester course; 2 lecture and 1 laboratory hours. 3 credits. Prerequisites: CLSE 115 , CMSC 254 , EGMN 210 , EGRB 215 or EGRE 245 ; and MATH 301 with a minimum grade of C. Concurrent prerequisite: MATH 310 . The course is designed as a first course in feedback control and systems with application to robotics and autonomous systems. The course will cover four main topics central to understanding cyber physical systems, robotics and autonomous systems including: classical feedback control theory for linear systems, modeling electro-mechanical systems, introduction to modern linear time invariant control theory and introduction to hierarchical control concepts, path planning, optimization and machine learning.
