Catalog description

Semester course; 3 lecture hours (delivered online, face-to-face or hybrid). 3 credits. The course is designed for undergraduate students, especially beginners, who are curious about how artificial intelligence and machine learning are transforming education. It highlights foundational concepts in AI and ML, focusing on their practical applications and implications in teaching, learning, assessment, policy and research. Through engaging, hands-on activities and real-world examples, students will develop skills in using AI tools and interpreting ML models. By the end of the course, students will be equipped to critically evaluate and propose innovative ways to leverage AI and ML to address educational challenges, preparing them for future careers in education or related fields.
