Modern Dance Technique III.

Catalog description

Semester course; 6 studio hours. 3 credits. May be repeated for a maximum of 12 credits toward graduation with the recommendation of the department chair. Prerequisite: DANC 202 or by departmental approval. Corequisite: DANC 110 . Enrollment is restricted to dance majors. Advanced study and training in principles of modern dance technique. Movement studies demanding greater strength and flexibility. Spatial patterns demanding increased coordination, kinesthetic awareness and aesthetic sensitivity. The course includes weekly group exploration of techniques related to all areas of dance.
